Two Priests Walk The Vatican

The silent halls of The Vatican lie abandoned in the deep of the night. The faint echoes of footsteps are heard as two little figures cross a vast marble floor. The one in the lead is is Father Lance Goodison. The one half a step behind, is darker, and his identity is hard to determine.

The camera zooms in on the two, slowly walking straight towards it. It looks like they are having a deep conversation.
*
Lance: You were right. And wrong, my friend.
*
The figure behind him grunts.
*
Lance: You've seen me, what I do, who I am. You know more about me than most. You've changed me a bit too, and made me learn more of myself. That being said, your eye is not as sharp as you would have it, because some small details, you have missed.
*
Father Lance chuckles, and turns around, studying his companion.
*
Lance: Would you care to make a guess at what details these might be?
*

Man: Lance, Lance, just because I have left, doesn't mean I have become blind. I know a Swiss Guard when I see one. I still believe, but I choose to believe in a higher power...or calling if you shall say.

The man takes off the hood on his cloak and unveils himself. It is no other than Sinister Minister. He looks up at Father Lance and gives a smirk. He raises his hand to the side of his head and scratches it. He looks to be thinking of something.

Sinister Minister: So the Vatican Lance? When I left the last time I was here I never thought I would be back. That and...I never thought they would let me back in. When they turned their back on my passion, I turned my back on them. But you, you brought me back here. Was it for your own personal beings or were you trying to tell me something?

Sinister Minister looks very judgmental at Lance.
*
Sinister Minister: So Lance why here? Why Now? Is there a reason you bring us here? Does it have anything to do with 4 souls that are looking for there calling? This will not stop the Testament of Shadows! We will figure out who and why the god of our choosing changes his ways for all of us. So why Lance? Why?

Father Lance Goodison halts abruptly, and takes one step toward Sinister Minister. Minister almost bumps into him, not having foreseen this sudden turn.

Lance: Open your eyes. What do you see?

Sinister Minister groans and looks annoyed.
*
Sinister Minister: Enough with the games. Now that you're standing in my path? Only you. Happy?

Lance's lips curl into a wide grin.

Lance: Bravo, son! Nearsighted but not blind after all. You see me. Has it occurred to you that I am... exactly who you all are searching for, the one who directs your paths, the one who weaves the very threads of your lives? Has it?

Sinister Minister looks taken aback at the bold statement, then clenches his fist at the blasphemy, his anger rising. Lance Goodison deflates his momentum before he erupts. He grabs Sinister Minister by the throat, a sneer on his face.

Lance: What are you going to do, Minister? Fight a god?
*
Father Lance Goodison violently pushes Sinister Minister one step back before turning his back on him, and slowly continuing in the direction the two were going.
*
Lance: I think not. Come, child. We have work to do.
*
Father Lance Goodison barks a hoarse laughter.
